Photo Friday: Share A Pet Story and/or Photo
Every Friday, anyone can post a photo of their pet and tell a story. It could be a short anecdote, a question you are looking for help on (so other readers can chime in) or just a cute photo – whatever you like. I mean, I love Pixel and all, but there are so many cuties out there, and who doesn’t like to show off their pets!
It’s easy, just use the upload feature under the ‘Post Comment’ button.

I’m currently raising a longhair mini-dachshund puppy, named Sophie. I got her at 8 weeks old from a breeder back in May making her current age approximately 6.5 months old. This past week, I got to deal with the unpleasant task of taking her to the vet to be spayed. I dreaded this moment all the way up until the time I dropped her off and left her, tail wagging, in the hands of the vet assistant.Thankfully, everything went well and I was able to pick up my baby later that afternoon. Going a full day without her made me realize how much I missed her. Our senior pug, however, thought she had died and gone to heaven. She was able to sleep peacefully all day without a pesky puppy around. The vet sent Sophie home with a cone around her head (to keep her from licking the incision) and instructions to keep her calm…no jumping/running. Well, the calmness lasted about 1 day and she’s bouncing around as usual now. It’s amazing how quickly they recover and “bounce” back. Surprisingly, I haven’t had to use put the cone on her much, she’s been real good at leaving the incision alone. I’m glad that this experience is behind us and look forward to watching Sophie grow into a beautiful dog.
I have a whole Flickr photo album of Sophie pics from tiny puppy to present:

These photos are amazing! Sophie is soooo cute! That first one should be your christmas card it is so cute. The action shot is great too! I hadn’t thought about that cone thing – I think that will drive Pixel mad when it’s her time to be spayed!
